Our CEO Elt Bashar recently won the 2024 HART (HART - Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust) Prize for Human Rights. He won the prize for his entry in the senior essay category. HART - Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust - is an international development charity that collaborates with humanitarian groups in different countries to assist communities with sustainable development and peace efforts. Their international essay competition invites participants to address human rights issues in HART-operational countries, highlighting underrepresented humanitarian issues. His winning essay, “Sudan’s Forgotten War: Addressing One of the Greatest Humanitarian Crises of Our Time,” was inspired by the hardships of civil war in his homeland and by his family’s suffering in escaping it. The essay is dedicated to them. He was recently invited to The House of Lords and was given an amazing tour of the Palace of Westminster. He completed work experience with HART, where he crafted some written questions and answers for parliamentary review on the crisis in Sudan which have been tabled.
